FAQ
What is this zine?
BG3 Winter Wonderland is a fanzine dedicated to the characters of Baldur's Gate 3 with a winter theme that will be released in January 2026.
What do these themes mean?
The themes are centered around the season of winter and/or the holidays that occur roughly in the December-January time frame. These can be Toril/Earth holidays of any origin and in any combination. Each category offers a diverse set of possibilities:
Snowed-in: This could house both a cozy piece about being unable to leave a location so the character(s) choose to sip cocoa by the fire, it could also be a hurt/comfort piece where the character(s) must seek shelter from a snow storm.
Hearth and Home: This is more cozy comfort; lazy moments spent together.
Traditions and Activities: This can range from doing things together in the snow like a snowball fight, different festivals, gift giving, etc.
Home for the holidays: This can be as literal as being home for the holidays or more conceptual like finding home at the holidays.
Categories are open to interpretation but should fit the overall feeling and spirit of the zine.
Is this a SFW or NSFW zine?
There will be SFW and NSFW sections.
What characters can I create for?
Any character that is from the Baldur’s Gate 3 game will be accepted! This includes Tavs/Durges, all companions, and any NPC. Any characters and pairings are accepted. Will there be any money collected?
The zine will have a small cost with all proceeds going to a charity.
What charity will the zine go toward?
The contributor application form will have a field to propose potential recipient charities. These suggestions will be vetted for both legitimacy and ethicality. Validated organizations will go on a ballot that the Zine contributors (creators and mods) will vote on.
Will the zine be physical or digital?
The zine will only be offered in a digital format.
Will I be compensated for my contribution?
No, all participation is completely voluntary. You will not receive any money for your piece. All contributors will receive one personal copy of the zine at no cost.
Are there any restrictions on my contribution?
The final submission should be a piece that has not been previously published and must remain unpublished until the release of the zine. Contributors are welcome to post their piece(s) on socials after the zine has been published.
